Ally Wallace is a visual artist based in Glasgow. He works across a range of mediums, including sculpture, drawing, installation and video. His work mainly refers to architectural subject matter - particularly Modernism - and for this project has produced small paper sculptures, based on architectural forms which suggest sleek, aerodynamic canopies.

Ally’s works for Departures ‘81 take inspiration from ‘King Abdulaziz International Airport’ by Paul Moore and Randy Fisher. ‘Airport Logo’ is inspired by the graphics of the airport’s wayfinding signage and logo designed by Bill Cannan and Lance Wyman. ‘Hot Skies’ takes inspiration from heat images of sunset and sunrise.
